Some stories are written in books; others are written in weathered wood.

Every scarred plank tells me this boat once had a purpose. She carried fishermen into rough seas before dawn, returned home with the day's catch, endured storms that tested every joint, and floated beneath sunsets no one thought to photograph.

Now she rests quietly on shore, her working days behind her. I wonder how much she remembers?
